Kane celebrates his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has declared that his interest in coming back to the Premier League has diminished and he is willing to negotiate a new deal with Bayern Munich.
The prolific striker is currently midway through the four-year deal he inked when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the transfer window of 2023.
The 32-year-old forward has netted an remarkable 103 goals in 106 matches for the German side, helping them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which was the first major achievement of his distinguished career.
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has recently mentioned that he would like to see Kane come back to England, where he requires 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's all-time Premier League scoring feat of 260.
However, the England captain has now suggested that he is no longer as eager about coming back home as he previously was, and would certainly think about lengthening his time in Bavaria.
"In terms of staying longer, I could absolutely see that," he remarked.
"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be prepared to talk and have an straightforward conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so unfolds and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a fantastic moment and I am not considering about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have learned in my career is that different options and different timings happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."
Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the all-time top scorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the quickest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five divisions, attaining the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a title had eluded him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane states that he was not sure how he would respond after breaking his trophy wait, but now feels it has made him hungry for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.
"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was interested in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to achieve in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
